This is a course where you accept the challenge and commit to becoming a technical diver. The PADI Tec 45 course extends your depth limit to 45 meters/150 feet. You will learn to plan and execute single and repetitive decompression dives using a single decompression cylinder with up to 100% oxygen. You will use twin cylinders, which may be in either back-mount or side-mount configuration. Tec 45 is a prerequisite for Tec 50.
To enroll in the Tec 45 course, you must meet the following requirements:
- PADI Tec 40
- PADI Rescue Diver*
- Have a minimum of 50 logged dives, including at least 10 deeper than 30 meters/100 feet
- Be at least 18 years old
*If you meet this requirement with a qualifying certification, you must provide proof of CPR/first aid training within the last 24 months.
A medical certificate issued within the last 12 months is required.
Certifications from other training organizations may be used to meet the requirements.
