The PADI Tec 40 course allows you to transition from recreational diving to technical diving and from non-stop diving to technical decompression diving. You will gain experience and begin to develop the knowledge and skills needed to continue your technical diver training. Upon completion of the course, you will be qualified to perform limited decompression dives up to 40 meters/130 feet and to use a decompression gas mixture containing up to 50% oxygen.
To enroll in the Tec 40 course, you must meet the following requirements:
- PADI Advanced Open Water Diver, PADI Advanced Open Water Diver, and PADI Rescue Diver recommended.
- PADI Enriched Air Diver
- PADI Deep Diver or proof of having made 10 dives to 30 meters/100 feet or deeper.
- Have logged at least 30 dives.
- Be at least 18 years old.
A medical certificate issued within the last 12 months is required.
Certifications from other training organizations may be used to meet the requirements.
Contact our PADI Dive Resort and request the Tec 40 Diver eLearning program, you will study independently before practicing with your PADI Tec 40 instructor.
